The Swedish Christmas season begins with the observance of St. Lucia Day and this beautiful festival of light. Our procession is led by Lucia who is crowned with candles and dressed in white in a celebration of light in the dark winter days. She is accompanied by attendants, each carrying a candle, as well as starboys (tärnor), gingerbread boys (pepparkaksgubbar) and elves (tomtenissar). |
