Welcome to celebrate Lucia and Swedish Christmas in Austin

Every year SWEA host a Christmas market and performs with a classical Swedish Lucia procession in the Lutheran Getsemane Church on 200 West Anderson Lane.

Before the Lucia procession we invite you to our Christmas market where you can buy Glogg, pepparkakor, lussebullar, and other traditional Swedish bakery. You can also buy handmade ornaments, participate in the raffle, buy used kids clothes, take your picture with Santa and off course dance around the Christmas tree. Everyone is invited to join us as we sing and dance the traditional Swedish Christmas songs for the occasion such as Små grodorna, Vi äro musikanter etc.!

When we have eaten and danced we relax in the church benches and enjoy the Lucia choir lighting up the church with the Lucia leading the way with candles in her hair.

The event has a modest cost that has yet to be decided this year but usually it is 5 usd per person and 10 usd for a family.
