Cinema Falls is launching the state of South Dakota's first Nordic Film Festival -
a single-day event with screenings in the historic Orpheum Theater in downtown Sioux Falls.

The afternoon matinee features the Midwest Premiere of BECOMING ASTRID, the profoundly beautiful coming-of-age story of beloved Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. (Rated R).

Additional films include disaster film THE QUAKE directed by Andreas Andersen and set in the bustling city of Oslo, Norway. The director picks up where Roar Uthaug left off with his action, drama, thriller THE WAVE.

A film pass for $15 includes all films, including a short from a local Norwegian filmmaker and current NYU Tisch film student.
