Norwegian-Sámi singing legend Mari Boine brings her unclassifiable and powerful sound to the Museum as part of a rare U.S. concert tour.
A genre-bending trailblazer with a taste for jazz, folk, rock and world music, she is an artist whose music is infused with her Sámi roots. For over 30 years she has served as an inspiration to indigenous performers world-wide with her powerful vocal range in Norwegian, English and traditional yoik.
