The Kegelstatt Trio presents a performance of contemporary and classical compositions, including new works by composers Edward Smaldone and Anders Koppel, as well as W.A. Mozarts Kegelstatt Trio, K. 498 and R. Schumanns Mrchenerzhlungen, Op. 132.
Named for the renowned piece composed by Mozart, one of the most popular chamber music works ever written, The Kegelstatt Trio features clarinetist Sren-Filip Brix Hansen, a leader in Den Kongelige Livgardes Musikkorps at the Wind Orchestra of the Royal Court of Denmark; violist Marie Louise Broholt Jensen, of the Copenhagen Philharmonic Orchestra; and pianist Charlotte Thaning, an accomplished chamber musician with multiple CD recordings.
Known for their combination of high musical standards, engaging personalities, and highly varied programming, they are active performers of recent scores, and have commissioned Danish and American composers to write for the ensemble.
