Not just clogs but a cross between Birkenstock and the 19th century Swedish farmer's choice.
Clogmaster founder Cecilia Tidlund tended to customers while visiting New York last week. The footwear virtuoso has been fitting clogs to needy clients — from ballerinas to neurosurgeons, chefs to actors — for nearly 40 years. Thanks to working closely with orthopedic surgeons, Tidlund's clogs have given new life to severely strained feet and patients with brittle bone disease or MS. She and the crew will be in Chicago this coming week, fitting shoes on the feet of a steadily growing clientele at the Swedish American Museum on N. Clark Street.
The Portland, Oregon based specialty store Clogmaster will be at the Chicago museum on Friday, Oct. 17 through Monday, Oct. 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Read more about Clogmaster at www.clogmaster.com and, about the museum, at www.swedishamericanmuseum.org
