The work of 17 Swedish, female designers will be showcased in San Diego on Planet Rooth Studios gallery, October 9-30, 2010.
"17 Swedish Designers" is a traveling exhibition touring the US that has successfully been showcased in Minneapolis, Cleveland and Chicago. The featured products range from small functional and decorative items in glass, porcelain and ceramics, to textiles and furniture.

Collectively, the pieces to be displayed represent Nordic, female contemporary design. Following a black and
white theme with bright accents, the exhibition offers an experience of contemporary ideas and innovative design for everyday use.

Several events will take place during the exhibition. Preceeding the opening of the exhibition there will be a design competition. Saturday, October 9th is the grand opening night and on October 10th, 7-8 p.m., one of the featured designers; Sara Szyber will hold a lecture about Swedish Contemporary design at Hall of Nations in Balboa Park, San Diego.
