Join the 2026 O. Fritiof Ander Symposium for a comparative conversation about elections in Sweden and the United States.
Through a keynote address and panel discussion, scholars, policymakers, and journalists will explore what recent and upcoming elections reveal about democracy, public policy, and political change in the two countries.

The program features Joakim Palme of Uppsala University as keynote speaker, joined by panelists Dave Loebsack, Benjamin R. Teitelbaum, and Karin Henriksson. Wendy Hilton-Morrow will moderate the discussion, with concluding remarks by Dag Blanck.

Online participants will be able to take part in the Q&A by submitting written questions during the program, which will be shared with the moderator for consideration during the discussion.
