The weaving of rya rugs began in Scandinavia centuries ago. In this virtual class, held over Zoom with instructor Melinda Byrd, you will learn about rya using supplies and techniques that do not require a loom. During this workshop, you will create a 16” x 16” introductory rya project. Instructions will be enclosed to orient you but you can look forward to our online class with additional tips and tricks as well as some simple design elements.

This workshop is two parts. The first day on January 15th is 10 am- 12 pm and the second day is January 22nd from 10-11 am. The workshop fee is $120 for members and $130 for non-members, $20 shipping fee. Registration deadline December 30th.
