Integration in America: Does it work and can Sweden learn anything?
Integration and how to address it is one of the hottest issues in Sweden today. During the past short decades Sweden has been transformed from a relatively homogeneous society to a multicultural one. Managing the challenges of integrating people from war-torn countries against the backdrop of rising Islamophobia and anti-immigrant political parties is a difficult process at best. America is built on the foundation of integrating people from all over the world and has a long history of successes and failures to draw upon. Is there anything that Sweden can learn or is America's heritage just too far removed from Sweden's experience?
