The enigmatic veneer saw of Augsburg has been on Thomas Tempte's (b. 1942) mind for 28 years. The machine was much talked of in its day. Tempte's recreated machine, decorated with intarsia, is a celebration of Georg Renner's creation of the 1530s. |
