This event is part of Nordic Family Genealogy Center offerings for spring 2011.

Carol LaChapelle is a Chicago-based educator and writer who specializes in helping people tell their stories. She is an adjunct faculty member in academic writing at North Park University and has taught workshops in memoir and essay writing at Newberry Library in Chicago. She is the author of Finding Your Voice, Telling Your Stories: 167 Ways to Tell Your Life Stories.

At this workshop, Ms. LaChapelle will demonstrate how to get started and discuss how different forms can be used to write a family history. Her book will also be available to purchase. Please bring paper and pencil so you may practice writing real-life family accounts.

Cost: $40 members, $45 non-members. Refreshments will be served.
