This June at Scandinavia House, see a live reading of the Scandinavian-American Theater Company’s new production My Name Is Susan /Jeg Hedder Bente. In a life-affirming story by Rikke Wölck about four women and their strong and loving friendship, at the age of 55, Susan is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Her group of girlfriends gather around her until her death, there to support Susan and each other through the tragic time, which gives them an opportunity to reflect on the lives they’ve lived and the choices they’ve made. Through laughter and tears, Susan’s diagnosis changes them all. (Directed by Jason Beckmann) |
